About Occupational Health (OH)
Occupational Health (OH) is a branch of medicine concerned with the effects of work on health and health on work. It focuses on employees’ fitness, wellbeing, performance and safety issues in relation to work. The World Health Organisation (WHO) states that the objective of OH is to “promote and maintain the physical, mental and social wellbeing of staff”.
